Let me start off by saying that we are always extremely proud of the fact we are 100% transparent with all of our Past and future retriever family and that's never going to change! Having an open-door policy was something we took great pride in because this was a way for all new family members to bond with their pups and with us as their breeder. Having an "Open door" policy has done wonders for us and for our Retriever family as it put their minds at ease and helped our puppies to transition much more easily. It saddens me to say that the "Open Door" policy will be no more. This is something we all have to come to terms with and I will do my absolute best to keep you all updated and stay in contact throughout your pup's life here and when with you. I hope I can reinstate this policy soon and we get back to normal but I, unfortunately, had to make this difficult decision not only for our safety but yours as well.

I do normally recommend and insist everyone see their pups in person every chance they can but due to this worldwide change, new safety concerns, Health risks, rising puppy thefts, and Federal and state restrictions & mandates I am at this time unable to allow just anyone over. If you have placed a holding fee and it's picking time I may allow a one-on-one visit to help you in your decision making but there are NO Guarantees. This will not be a possibility if we have other litters so please keep that in mind

You will be able to follow your pup and its litter mates as they grow with either daily, weekly, and/or bi-weekly pictures (depending on age) that will be posted here and/or sent to you directly and/or by live video chats where you can see pups, mom and environment in real-time.

Please be mindful that I too have a life and I may not always be available to do video chats but I will make appointments that work for you as well as myself.

Here is the great news! Virtual meet & greets are just as effective as personal meetings. You have all the great things that come with meeting in person such as seeing pups in real time, watching them live, and you can see their progress as they grow anytime you want WITHOUT all the health and safety risks, you save time and money this way by saving on gas, and you can do this anywhere in the world.

We understand the need and want to see our litter and your potential family member and it pains me to do this but we can not risk the health and safety of our goldens, ourselves, and our kids. My Retrievers and my family are my everything and I can not put them in jeopardy with this virus that we still are dealing with, especially with the recent surge in new Coivid Cases.

Also due to the rise in puppy thefts that are occurring all over California and everywhere else. We can only consider in-person meet and greets once the pup has been health checked, any required payment that is due at that time is paid, puppy picking has begun and it's your turn, and only if I feel it will be safe for all involved. Also if we allow you to come over please understand we can only allow a few visitors over at any given time. This is not guaranteed but I am very hopeful we can have in-person meetings.

Please be patient as we try to navigate this new world we are currently in and understand we are doing what we feel is best. I am extremely confident that this is not only the right way to proceed but the safest for all involved. This minimizes human contact with one another and it keeps our goldens safe. Again our top priority is health and that not only includes the health of my animals but me personally, my family members, and you; our new SGR family members as well!

We want Each and every person looking to add a Southern Golden Retriever to their family to have all the time with us as they need but more on a personal level and since we can no longer offer in-person meet and greets once the puppies are here we will be doing this via Zoom, Skype, or Webex. We also can video chat on Androids, and use Facebook, or Instagram messanger video chat platforms as well.

We will do everything possible to make you feel as comfortable and do it in the safest way we can
